1, Vacancy: Commercial installation estimator
Department: Commercial Install
Role: Commercial installation estimator
Reporting to: Brian Grove Brian.Grove@smithandbyford.com
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
The main pre-requisites are:-
- Experienced in preparing and submission of tenders from a few hundred pounds to in excess of £1 million.
- Experienced in the preparation and submission of tenders for small works comprising maintenance, repair, replacement and new build works consisting of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, hot and cold water, public-health services and associated installations.
- This would include the surveying of existing installations, calculation of the material, plant, labour and sub-contract costs and presenting it in a suitable form to the manager/director for adjudication.
- Submitted the tender price to the client together with all necessary documentation, qualifications and exclusions.
- Experience and knowledge of many years in estimating of new works, fit-out, replacement and repairing of installations.
- Able to survey existing installations and calculate requirements for replacing and/or repairs to systems.
- Experiences in speaking directly with clients or their engineers to ascertain their requirements and advise on practical issues regarding environmental and cost implications.
