Electrical Administrator

Department: 
Electrical Department
Location: Head Office, Cheam
Reporting to:  Electrical Department Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm on a rota basis

This position is within the Electrical department. The role will encompass supporting the existing electrical team and taking responsibility for the daily management of allocated engineers diaries, time sheets and assoicated paperwork. Also responsible for making sure invoicing is done on a daily basis from time sheet approval. Full, in-house training will be provided leading to progression in your own development and responsibilities.

Procurement Administrator

Department: 
Procurement Office
Location: Head Office, Cheam
Reporting to:  Procurement Manager
Hours: Standard working hours are Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 5pm

This position is within the Procurement department, working closely with a highly motivated and creative team. The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, have an enthusiastic approach, previous experience beneficial but not essential. Full Training will be provided leading to progression in your own development and responsibilities. As part of this role you would be required to maintain the distribution of deliveries, control vehicle stocks and communicate with suppliers and colleagues.

Customer Feedback Administrator

Department: Customer Care

Reporting to:  Louise Honey/ Melanie Herridge
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm

The role of Customer Feedback Administrator is an essential role to ensure that we continue to listen to our customers and develop our services to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. We are looking for a candidate to demonstrate that they are organised, proactive and thorough, showing a high level of attention to detail. Private Customer Service Operative

Department: Total Home Solutions
Location: Showroom, Cheam Village
Reporting to:  Bobbie Rendle
Hours: 8.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Saturdays 9am - 5pm (1 in 4 on Saturday rota, day off in lieu)

This role is for a full time position within our Private Department, delivering the best in customer service and care to our clients and customers. Our clients include Letting Agents, Landlords and Private Customers who either pay for works or have a contract with us. You will be responsible for running one of our 4 main contracts and providing cover for others, as and when required, The ideal candidate will be self motivated, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure in a small team.

Customer Service Operative

Department: Domestic Gas Department
Location: Head Office, Cheam
Reporting to:  Gas Team Leader
Hours: Shift Rota

This role is for a full time position within our Customer Service Centre. As part of the role you will be responsible for answering all incoming calls from residents, and dealing with these appropriately, scheduling servicing/breakdown calls and managing the engineers diaries efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills.

We are looking for an Electrician to join our professional, dynamic team. This role is for a full time position within our growing Electrical Department. As part of this role you will be required to inspect, test and certify fixed electrical wiring systems to BS7671 and NICEIC Standards, ensuring continued smooth operation of the contract you are working on.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm including Out of Hours cover (Flexible hours)

This role is for a full time position for a Mobile Plant Engineer to join the Commercial Service team required to work on plant equipment and in flat equipment. As part of this role you will be required to work flexible hours and complete a variety of tasks relating to the role, ensuring continued smooth operation of the contract that you are working on.

Hours: Monday - Friday, split cover between 8am - 6pm (8 hour working day)

This role is for a full time position within the Gas Commercial Service Department in Peckham. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) planning of the engineering field staff.

Apprenticeships


At Smith & Byford we believe that it is our responsibility to provide both support and training for young people who are interested in a career within our industry. We have a large apprenticeship programme, with currently 40+ apprentices at different stages of their training, and work closely with local colleges to ensure that all of our apprentices are provided with the best training in the industry. In addition we provide initiatives such as work experience and mentoring. We acknowledge a strong, multi skilled workforce is key to delivering a high quality of service to our customers and we maintain this through encouraging career progression and providing continuous training.
